English version
These terms explain the use of the Terran Dawn website, the Steam game and optional Discord features. Purchases, payments and Steam accounts are handled through Steam. This website does not take direct orders or payments.
Your mandatory consumer rights remain in place. Discord presence and invitations are optional, and do not require a separate developer-operated player account.
1. Operator and scope
Terran Dawn is developed and published by Kálmán Dengel (Dengel Kálmán), who also operates terrandawn.eu. Contact for support, questions and complaints: info@terrandawn.eu.
These terms cover this website, the Steam-distributed game (Steam App ID 5073720) and its optional Discord Rich Presence/invitation features. They describe the conditions on which these services are offered. They do not replace your agreement with Valve or Discord, or reduce rights you have under mandatory law. The Privacy policy explains information handling separately; reading these terms does not by itself consent to optional data sharing.
2. Steam purchases, accounts and refunds
Terran Dawn is offered through its Steam store page. That page and Steam's checkout state the available release, price, system requirements and transaction terms. The promotional website is not a separate shop.
Steam account registration, payments, purchase administration and refund requests are handled through Valve/Steam under the Steam Subscriber Agreement and the Steam Refunds policy. The developer does not ask you to provide a Steam password or payment-card data to the developer.
Nothing here removes a statutory right to withdraw, obtain a remedy for non-conforming digital content, or seek a refund where applicable law provides one. A platform's discretionary refund policy is additional to, not a replacement for, mandatory consumer rights. Contact Steam Support for purchase/account issues and the developer for questions about the game itself.
Follow Steam's and Discord's relevant age/account eligibility rules. Obtain a parent or guardian's permission where the applicable law requires it.
3. Game licence and intellectual property
A legitimate Steam entitlement permits use of the game under the applicable Steam terms, any licence presented with the product and mandatory law. Acquiring the game does not transfer ownership of its software, artwork, audio, trade marks or other protected material.
Do not distribute unauthorised copies, sell access you are not entitled to sell, misrepresent authorship or bypass legitimate entitlement/security checks. This does not restrict rights that applicable law gives you, including permitted interoperability, backup or other statutory exceptions.
Third-party components remain subject to their applicable licences and notices supplied with the game. Reviewers and creators may use the official press-kit materials under the press kit's stated conditions. Gameplay coverage and streams must respect third-party rights and platform rules; this permission does not grant rights to distribute the game or its assets as a standalone product.
4. Fair and lawful use
Use the website, multiplayer and linked community services lawfully and with respect for other people. Do not:
- cheat, deliberately disrupt matches or abuse networking/service endpoints;
- attempt unauthorised access, introduce malware or interfere with security mechanisms;
- harass, threaten, impersonate others, or share another person's private information without a lawful basis;
- upload or share material that infringes rights or is otherwise unlawful.
Hosts can manage their own matches. Community moderation and any restrictions on developer-operated optional services must be proportionate, consistent with applicable platform rules and law. These rules do not remove your mandatory rights in a purchased game.
5. Online play and optional Discord features
Steam multiplayer requires the relevant Steam services, a suitable internet connection, compatible game versions and the necessary game entitlement. Match data and player communications are exchanged using the applicable multiplayer functions. Other players can see what you share in a match.
Discord Rich Presence and multiplayer invitations are separate switches under Options → Interface → Discord, both off by default. Enabling them asks the game to share the described activity/lobby information with your running Discord client. You can turn them off again. Disabling Discord sharing does not remove access to the rest of the game.
A Discord invitation is a request to open the normal join process, not a guarantee of admission. Room availability, passwords, capacity, version checks and your confirmation still apply. Steam and Discord provide their own platforms under their own terms: Steam terms and Discord terms.
6. Custom content and public sharing
You remain responsible for content you choose to send, including chat messages, room/map names, screenshots, custom maps and feedback. Only share material you are entitled to share. Multiplayer participants receive the content needed for the session you request.
Sharing a map or message in a match does not transfer its ownership to the developer. Any technical transmission or copying necessary to deliver that requested session is limited to that purpose. Keep independent backups of content you value; do not post private information in public names or messages.
7. Availability, updates and development information
The game and website may be updated to fix faults, improve security or develop features. Online functions also depend on Steam, Discord, networks and compatible versions. Maintenance, faults or platform changes can interrupt access; continuous or permanent availability of every optional third-party feature is not promised.
Development screenshots, videos and announcements can show work in progress. The applicable store description and purchase information describe what is offered for sale. This section does not permit removal of paid-for rights or avoidance of legally required updates, conformity obligations or remedies.
8. Consumer rights and responsibility
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits responsibility where doing so is unlawful, or waives a consumer protection, digital-content conformity right, statutory remedy or other mandatory right. Any limitation or service condition applies only to the extent permitted by the law that protects you.
The operator takes reasonable care in operating the website and supporting the game. Third-party services remain the responsibility of their providers, without excluding any responsibility that the law places on the operator. If a product/service does not meet its legally required standard, the applicable statutory remedies remain available.
9. Support, complaints and disputes
Write to info@terrandawn.eu with a description of a game or website issue. Include the game version and only the information needed to investigate. Account recovery, payment and Steam purchase/refund requests should be submitted through Steam Support.
Complaints are handled within applicable legal deadlines. An attempt to resolve a matter by email does not prevent you from seeking assistance from the competent consumer-protection authority, an available consumer dispute-resolution body or a court. These terms do not impose mandatory arbitration or an exclusive foreign court, and do not deprive you of mandatory protection in your place of residence.
10. Changes and related information
The version date is shown above. Material changes will be published on this page and apply prospectively, subject to applicable notice and acceptance requirements. New terms do not retrospectively remove existing purchase rights; a separate acceptance will be sought where the law requires it.
The English and Hungarian versions are intended to convey the same conditions; mandatory applicable law prevails. For information handling and your choices, read the Privacy policy. Contact: info@terrandawn.eu.
